You must meet our most favourite barista Ayala. Makes you want to chat about your roots. We’re New Yorkers & it’s hard to break through our stony characters. Took him one smile to know we’re not back east anymore

I come in often, and Ayala always greets me with the warmest energy. Ayala is kind and makes my iced matcha a to perfection every time.

Avoid unless looking for a soap opera! This Starbucks continues to solidify its reputation as the absolute worst location in the region—easily underperforming downtown, Mission Valley, and Hillcrest. The core issue is a blatant, top-down disregard for any customer who dares to walk inside instead of using the drive-thru. During my recent visit, the staffing imbalance and complete lack of efficiency were staggering. I counted 11 employees on the floor: 5 behind the bar 3 standing around the food box 2 working on laptops on the floor 1 working on a tablet Meanwhile, the actual customer queue consisted of exactly two in-store guests, one mobile pickup, and four cars in the drive-thru. Despite being heavily overstaffed for that volume, I stood at the counter unacknowledged for 8 minutes. When a barista named Anthony finally addressed me, it wasn’t with an apology, but with an aggressive attitude asking if I had even placed an order—a completely absurd question considering my ticket was already printed out with my name clearly on it. When I replied that I was just waiting on a black cold brew, the barista right behind him piped up, "I have it right here," holding that very sticker in he

I haven’t been to Starbucks in quite a while because I’d rather support local mom-and-pop coffee shops, and Starbucks’ prices have gotten absolutely ridiculous. The only reason I stopped in was to buy something so I could get my dog a pup cup. This was probably the worst Starbucks experience I’ve had. When I walked in, nobody greeted me, and the employees looked like they didn’t want to be there. I originally went to order a tall Nitro Cold Brew, only to discover they don’t even display the tall pricing anymore. Six dollars for a tall coffee? That’s outrageous. I changed my order to a tall iced coffee instead, and somehow managed to spend $4.25 on a coffee that tasted like water. To be fair, I’ve never thought Starbucks had great coffee, but this definitely didn’t change my opinion. To make matters worse, I couldn’t get the lid off my cup. Another customer was having the exact same problem. There were also no napkins available, which should have been a basic item that was stocked. At the end of the day, the service was lacking, the prices were absurd, and even the customer essentials weren’t properly stocked. Overall, it was a good reminder of why I stopped coming here in the f

Kandyce (hopefully I spelled it correctly) was especially exceptional! I enjoyed her warm and welcoming personality and upbeat attitude, even through the boisterous construction noises! Thank you for adding her to your team! She is definitely contributing to the customer experience!
